The Glendon District 2018 AGM was attended well last night by around 60 members.
Special guests included Anthony Dady Councillor of Corby, Dean Smith, County Commissioner and others from county.
Cllr Dady addressed the AGM and thanked all the leaders for the effort the put in to scouting and giving up so much time to help the young people of the District.
During the evening the following awards were presented:

17th Kettering were honoured to be asked to provide a flag bearer and 2 escorts to take part in the Civic Parade on 17th June.
They followed the Northampton Pipe Band and took the route along London Road, Market Street and Sheep Street to St Peter and Paul Church.
The flags were presented to the vicar and the Scouts then took part in the service.

The Scout Association has recently rebranded, and although we have 2 years to change logos etc, we have chosen to update our website sooner rather than later.

Picture the Difference is a non-profit making group who work with young people and adults who have additional needs.
During the Easter holidays they spent a week in the Glendon District HQ, Woodcroft, doing various activities.
Among these was the making of a short film, co-written by and staring twenty of the young people, on the theme of mental health.
The film is being shown at the Odeon cinema on the morning of July 9th (special invitation only) and again in the evening for their parents at 8.00 in Woodcroft.
