Kettering Mayors Civic Service

By Adrian Coles on 26 June 2018

17th Kettering were honoured to be asked to provide a flag bearer and 2 escorts to take part in the Civic Parade on 17th June.

They followed the Northampton Pipe Band and took the route along London Road, Market Street and Sheep Street to St Peter and Paul Church.
The flags were presented to the vicar and the Scouts then took part in the service.

After the service the flag was collected and the national anthem was sung, followed by another parade back along Sheep Street, Bowling Green Road and into the Council Offices.
There a fantastic buffet awaited us!

The Scouts were very smart and Kettering MP Philip Hollobone congratulated them on his way out of church.
